Mission Statement
We are a small breeding kennel located about 50 miles southeast of Kansas City, MO. Our property is approximately 10 miles northwest of Warrensburg and we live within a half mile of Bill Eckett and Bobby George of Blackwater Retrievers.
Our goal is to produce quality Lab pups with the ability to meet or exceed their new owners' expectations, whether it be for hunt tests, hunting, or family pet. We only breed to Lab males that have achieved FC, AFC, or Master Hunter status and have the appropriate health clearances.
Our females all have OFA good or better hips and elbows, CERF clear, and CNM clear status. We do not believe in our females having more than one litter per year. A rare exception may be to get a young female on an alternate heat cycle.
We intend to run our females in AKC hunt tests and will be able to devote more time to this endeavor as we approach retirement.
We have owned Labs continuously since 1969 when we purchased our first female pup Holly sired by NAFC-FC Guy's Bitterroot Lucky and out of Carr-Lab Spirit owned by Barbara Ornbaun.
