We drove to Canada in June of 2000 and picked up Kelly and a littermate from Ernie Rose. We moved from Iowa to Missouri that same summer and Kelly got slighted when it came to early training. She does love to retrieve and has a water entry second to none.
Kelly has raised some nice pups and we have received testimonials from several individuals who were very happy with their pups. Colin McNicol, a rising young pro from Canada, had a real promising young male out of Spunky and Kelly that unfortunately met an untimely death at a young age.
Two of Kelly's pups sired by FC-AFC Candlewoods Autumn Run Vince have been doing real well on the West Coast hunt test circuit. Grouse Creek's Blazin' Cinder is a Master Hunter and went through the 4th series in the recently completed Master National in California. Her littermate, Grouse Creek's Black Powder, is a Senior Hunter and has master passes. They will be 3 in January.
